128mb video card is equivalent to geforce series what?

i found that the minimum requirement for a particular game is 128mb video card, do you know what 128mb video card is equivalent to in geforce series?|||the gforce 5000 series and 6000 series some are still 128mb. Should be the FX series.|||There is really no "Equivalent" in the sense that you are talking about.

The Geforce has had at least 7 series of video cards with options for 128MB of Video ram.

The first I believe was the Geforce 2 ultra which some companies were shipping with 128mb.

You can buy a Geforce 9000 series card with 128mb as well.

To be safe, anything Geforce 6600 and up is going to be fine.|||128mb of video memory is pretty much a minimum standard these days. Most video cards are 512mb of video or 1gig and buying something to meet the minimum standard usually means gaming enjoyment suffers. I couldn't find an Nvidia GeForce card with that minimum rating of memory. I attached a link to a reputable online source that provides good information on video cards as well as other PC components.

Good luck|||Dude my last card was a Geforce 6200 and that too it was a 256mb card. I'm pretty sure u know geforce now has the 8/9 series with the 260/280 GTX. it would really help to know what game u were talking about. Also don't look for the minimum requirements unless u want really sappy quality (to the point it doesnt feel goodplaying). Video cards are getting cheaper due to new technology.

Also we need to know whether your motherboard has a pci-express slot. pci-E cards are cheaper that the AGP and provide better performance.

These days a good old card would be the 8800s. i saw in tigerdirect.ca (after rebates) a Geforce 8800GS 384 mb was like 68 canadian dollars. Apparently there was a review where a guy says he could play crysis on High settings with 38fps (don't know if he's telling the truth) but the card had alot of good reviews.

Something better than an 8800s would be the 9800s. The problem is if u go higher than the 8800GS, u cross over 100$. a 9800 gt cost like 139. and if ur willing to spend that much, i would suggest u get an 8800ultra. its like 199 canadian. Thats a card i want to get and am sure that i wont have trouble playing new games with decent frame rates.|||Many different cards have different VRAM sizes. But you're looking for an older 7600GS/GT.
