Is it possible to have a monitor that is too big for a video card to support?

I am planning on buying a 24 inch monitor. My video card is a bit older and I currently have a 22 inch right now. my video card is an x800 radeon and my current resolution on this 22 inch monitor is 1680 by 1050 and I don't have any issues. THank YOu,|||The analog VGA port on the ATI X800 can go up to 2048x1536.

It should work with a 24-inch monitor.

Whether or not the X800 can process the graphics fast enough for the newest games is another story, however. (The X800 isn't just "a bit older." It's 5 generations out of date-- positively ancient.)

Hope this helps.|||ok
