Can i upgrade the video card in a dell optiplex gx520?

it's a full-sized tower unit. the standard video card is an Integrated Intel Media Accelerator 950 and i'm hoping i'll be able to change it to one that will let me play sims 3.|||Looks like you may be out of luck on that.|||Yes, you would need to buy a PCI-e (express) video card (i would recommend in the 50-100$ range for best results because if you go too expensive you will most likely need a new power supply as well) and install it in the one and only available slot on your motherboard by opening up your tower.|||Hold on. The thing with Dell's is that they use different voltages on the Mother-Boards, meaning that you'll have to send the unit away to Dell and ask for an upgrade. This is a cunning marketing ploy that should be investigated by the Monopolies Commission.|||as long as it has an open pci-e slot
